Background: I grew up in Arlington and was a town kid. My uncles were farmers and I loved to visit and help on the farm. I worked bailing hay for Lavern Freed’s dairy farm and became good friends with Gary, Steve, and Teresa as well. In 2012 my wife and I, Nicole, moved to live on her family farm where they began to raise purebred Hereford, Cattle. I have been an HCAS member since 2012, and an active member of the Hancock County Cattleman’s Association for the last eight years. 

Goals & Objectives: I am committed to ensuring a strong association by working with the board and its members to ensure a solvent financial position, looking at ways to support additional revenue, and to focus on the future where agriculture and technology meet. I am also committed to working for stronger foundational funds for the society to allow for long term financial strength of the HCAS and to our create an ability to support students with educational scholarship funds.   

HCAS Areas of Responsibilities: Member of the Executive Committee, Policies and Procedures Committee, Long Range Planning?Building, Horse Pulling Committee, Manure Management Committee and the Cattle Barn and Recker Show arena.
